I've been watching UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) for over 5 years now. And I must say that there are a lot of figters there are truly legendary. I actually wrote this essay as a form of "hero worship" for these five astounding men or rather fighters that made themselves Icons in the history of the sport.
5: BROCK LESNAR

The guy is awfully big and is awfully strong. Brock is definitely the supreme being in the world of the UFC. He beat Mir and Couture and he is definitely a true champion. It also helps that he has a bit of a "heel" tendency when he gets in the ring. Something that the UFC seriously needs.
4: TITO ORTIZ

The Huntington beach badboy has given tons of opponents lots of things to think about. He is also the husband of Jenna Jameson, that alone is a testament that he really is a bad boy.
3: Chuck Liddel

Check any Youtube video and see for yourself the explosive power that Chuck "The Iceman" Liddel brings to the table. Every power punch is bound to deliver either a knockout or a world of hurt.
2. Kazushi Sakuraba

After fighting a high profile match against one of the Gracies, The Gracie Hunter survived and defeated Royce Gracie in a 90 minute grappling match in 2000. And based on the pedigree of his opponent, its a sure bet that he can overcome almost anything.
1: Lyoto Machida

The Dragon is currently my best pick for the UFC championship. He's got the skills, the training and he's even got the mindset that's needed for any long running UFC champion. There may be a lot of speculation with regards to how much he can grow in terms of his career in the UFC but there is one thing for certain. Lyoto Machida is the best. You can bet your essays on that. |
