Georges St-Pierre will take on a familiar face in his latest title defence – opposing Ultimate Fighter 12 coach Josh Koscheck.

St-Pierre, the reigning 170-pound title-holder, will face Koscheck in a welterweight title match on Dec. 11 in a pay-per-view event expected to be UFC 123, according to MMAfrenzy.com.

“Can’t wait until TUF 12 airs in September, and oh yeah did you guys know that I am going to be the next welterweight champion come December 11th,” Koscheck Tweeted Monday night.

It seems Toronto is out of the running to host the event, as the city is has not yet legalized MMA events.

After being upset by Matt Serra, St-Pierre bounced back with a unanimous decision over Koscheck in 2007, and has won seven straight since then. His last fight was a title defence against Dan Hardy in March, and recently said his goal was to face Anderson Silva, seen as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Koscheck has three straight wins, beating Anthony Johnson, Frank Trigg and Paul Daley in May to earn a title shot.
