Jeff Blatnick, who served as a mixed martial arts referee and was formerly a commentator for the UFC, has died due to complications related to heart surgery. He was 55 years old. WYNT in Albany, New York was the first to report the news.
Dana White 'Disgusted' with Jones camp over refusal
UFC President Dana White is livid at Jon Jones following the light heavyweight champ's decision to turn down a short-notice fight with Chael Sonnen for UFC 151.
"As much as as he's won, and all the things that he's accomplished in a short amount of time … he's been a champion that hasn't been very popular," White said today. "I don't think this is going to do wonders for his popularity."

Those tuning in last night to watch the first preliminary fight for UFC 149 no doubt took note of the animated Calgary crowd who was a raucous bunch from the opening bell on. However, by the end of the evening the audience had turned from an excited group of fans into an action-starved mob spouting boos and “boring” chants. Their anger was not lost on UFC President Dana White because, as it turns out, the outspoken executive shared their fury.
Given the outrage expressed by some fans regarding Anderson Silva’s in-ring antics against Chael Sonnen this past Saturday night at UFC 148, it seems the fallen contender has plenty of ammo to fire in the Brazilian’s direction in hopes of earning a third title-fight in the immediate future.
However, at the post-event press conference Sonnen was not only respectful of his rival but quite humble as well.
