Manny Pacquiao looked rejuvenated after a controversial split decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez in November, but in what will surely go down as one of the most controversial decisions in boxing history -- one of the worst, really -- Timothy Bradley Jr. was awarded a split-decision win to claim a welterweight title on Saturday night before 14,206 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

RICH FRANKLIN STEPS IN FOR INJURED BELFORT VS VANDERLEI SILVA AT UFC 147

Hopefully Rich Franklin has kept his passport up-to-date, as “Ace” has signed to face Wanderlei Silva in the main event of UFC 147 where he’ll replace Vitor Belfort who injured his hand in training and was forced to pull out. The card takes place June 23 from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

RING GIRL ARIANNY CELESTE ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE

The UFC can’t catch a break.

According to a report from TMZ, UFC Octagon girl Arianny Celeste was arrested and taken into the Clark County Detention Center early Saturday morning (7:30 am) on charges of domestic abuse, and later released on a $3,000 bond.

May 7, 2012 - The oddsmakers had Floyd Mayweather, Jr. as the overwhelming favorite, but Miguel Cotto gave him a much tougher fight than most had anticipated.

Officially, Mayweather earned a unanimous decision win, taking 117-111, 117-111 and 118-110 on the judges' scorecards. He also took Cotto's WBC junior middleweight belt, thereby earning his eighth title in five weight classes.
